I will be in Frankfurt for about an hour around noon on a Sunday, is there a short trip I could make from the train station to see a tiny bit of Frankfurt?

Walk out the front door and you will see a neighborhood of beautiful buildings built at the turn of the century. Jump on tram 11 and ride 4 stops and you will be at the Römer, with the city hall built in the early 1300's. The big red church you see here up on the left, is the Kaiserdom, the location of the election and coronation of the Holy Roman Emperors for centuries. It was built in the late 1300's and early 1400's. The pretty red and white church is the Alte Nikolai, built in 1290. Walk through to the river for the best view. Then you will need to head back to the station. You can also take the U-4 or U-5 to the station too, or tram #12.
