Frankfurt to Erlangen stop in between

Hello Travelers!
My boyfriend and I will be traveling from Frankfurt to Erlangen for the beer festival in June. We will have just spent the week prior along the Rhine river. Wondering if there is a place to stop for a night in between Frankfurt to Erlangen that is along the train route. I know it is a pretty short train ride however we might be coming from somewhere along the Rhine. Thank you!!
