Frankfurt Römer Kaisersaal room.

We are celebrating our 40th anniversary in Frankfurt with our grown kids and their spouses in June 2020. My husband who was military in late 70s and I was a civilian working for the Corps of Engineers met at the 97th officers club and got married at the Römer 8/19/80.
I wrote to the people at the Römer about getting some entry into the Römer and was told we could see the Kaisersaal (Emperor Room). However, she said through a tour and linked me to tours of Frankfurt but none showed the Kaisersaal.
Does anyone have any idea how to see it?
Thank you.

You do not need to be on a tour to visit the Kaisersaal. You just go around the back entrance to the Römer, buy a ticket and go upstairs. I am sorry the people there said you had to be on a tour to get in. The tough part is that it is often closed due to some sort of function. Do you know when you will be here? During the Museums Riverbank Fest from 23-25 Aug. the Kaisersaal will be open to those with a badge. The badge costs 8€ I believe and gets you in all of the museums for the weekend. Hope you can hold off that long.
The Kaisersaal is not where you get married though.

We expect to be there mid June 2020. Thanks and yes I have heard sometimes there are functions. But you gave me good info.
