Frankfurt Nov 12-17 w/toddler

Help! We're heading to Frankfurt for a meeting on Nov 13. We need help with a memorable trip with our 2 yr old. Unfortunately it appears to be off season for most activities.

Arrive Nov 12 in Frankfurt, so we have all day before we can check in to the hotel. Then Nov 13, it's my daughter and I while mom is at meetings all day. (Seasoned dad open for anything)

We have to fly out of Frankfurt on Sunday.

Need help with itinerary for two days in (or around) town, and then something we can do Thursday - Saturday. We considered heading to Paris, but would love other options.

We're an active family but understand weather is not going to be favorable for a lot of outdoor activities.

With a 2 year old, maybe head to the Zoo, the Opel Zoo near Kronberg, the Palmengarten, the Senckenburg Natural History Museum, Experimenta.

I sure would not go as far as Paris for only a couple of days. There are so many towns and cities you could visit near Frankfurt. Check out Mainz, Büdingen, Michelstadt, Marburg, Limburg, Heidelberg, Eltville, Rüdesheim, Idstein, Seligenstadt, and more. It kind of depends on your interests. Frankfurt itself has dozens of museums, but with a little one in tow, just riding trains may be enough.

How about one of the spa towns (or hot springs resort) for your post-meeting family time? There are several options within a short drive of the Frankfurt airport. Take a look to see who can best accommodate a young child. Many of these towns will have a public pool option. I recently visited one in Wiesbaden that had a whole section just for little kids.
