Frankfurt hotels

We are staying in Frankfurt a few days before the start of our trip in early April - any suggestions for hotels/areas of town to stay in? TYIA

It will be my husband and I in one room and my single daughter in another. We are planning to stay 2 nights in Frankfurt before our GAS tour that starts in Trier. We'd like to stay near city center, and also somewhat near the train station so after our stay we won't be too far from the train out to Trier. We like boutique, small type hotels, but are not adverse to chain/big hotels if reasonable. Thank you

Try Hotel Nizza, which is near the Hbf, and is a beautiful, unique hotel. More central, you might try Motel One by the Römer which is a chain, or the Paulaner Hotel by the Dom, which is a small, privately-owned hotel. The Westend has some lovely places but is not as central, try Hotel Beethoven. For more of an apt. feel, try Adina Apts. near the Opera and river. Right next to the train station, try Hamburger Hof or Flemings.

I stayed at the Hotel Neue Kraeme (Kräme) a couple years ago. The location was very central. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. The rooms were small but functional. The price was decent.

I was flying out the morning that I left and was leaving too early for the regular breakfast. They had rolls, sandwiches and fruit for people in that situation. It was a nice touch.

I second Motel One by the Römer. It is a chain, but they are not bland like most chains and very reasonable.
