Frankfurt connection time

Is 90 minutes sufficient time to transfer from an inbound Austrian Airlines flight (Vienna to Frankfurt) to a Lufthansa flight (Frankfurt to Boston)? Thank you for any help you can provide.

90 minutes (assumes your flight from Vienna arrives on time) should be sufficient. As far as I can see, the Austrian Air flight arrives at an A gate and the LH flight to Boston departs from a Z gate. Both concourses are in the same building, Z on the floor above A, so you just go through emigration (outgoing passport check), then take escalators up one floor and go to your Z gate. It might entail a bit of walking, but it is doable.

Emigration is in the "hinge", where the two wings of A come together.

While we're talking about connection times in Frankfurt, I have a question about a 1 hour 55 minute transfer for SFO-Frankfurt-Verona Italy. Thanks!

Lee, so true. "Maybe" is part of travel. We went with the slightly longer layover and have moved on to other details!!

You said that you had "a question", but you never asked it. A lot about if can you make a 1:55 layover depends on whether you have to change concourse (I think the Germans call them "piers" and maybe terminals or maybe get a new boarding pass (flights not on same ticket) or retrieve luggage not checked through. So it's kind of hard for someone to help you without knowing all the details.

And this brings up a question (and I will ask it). Does anyone know if you can check in at your departure gate, and get a boarding pass there, if you don't already have a boarding pass for the next flight because both flights are not on the same ticket? Of course, if both flights are not on one ticket and you have luggage that is not checked through, then you have to go out of security to pickup your luggage and recheck it, so you'll be checking in and getting a new boarding pass at the same time, and you'll have to go back through security to get to your next gate. But if you only have carry-on luggage, can you proceed to the next gate, with out going through security, and check in there?
