In mid-March this year, flying from Florence (FLR) via Air Dolomiti to switch planes at Frankfurt (FRA) to continue flight to Chicago via Lufthansa/United Airlines: I have a 1 hour and 10-minute layover. What's the fastest way to get through customs, passport check, etc. in FRA?

You don't go through customs but you will go through exit immigration.
Fortunately, all three airlines are in Terminal 1.
When you get to FRA go straight to your departure gate. On the way you will go through passport control. You can't get to your get without passing it. Don't worry, you can't miss it.

Thank you! I was getting worried that I could miss my flight but I'm a fast walker. LOL.
