It looks like Frankfurt am Main Flughafen Long-Distance Station is adjacent to Frankfurt's Airport and you can catch a train from there to Nuremberg. Can someone please confirm? Is there a shuttle or can you walk between the two? Leaving in two days. thanks!
Yes you can. You can walk to the station. In German it's the "Fernbahnhof." Follow the signs - they're all around the airport in German and/or in English.

Correct, it is very easy to catch a train after arriving at FRA. There are trains to Nuremberg (generally) every hour 36 after the hour. And every other hour 2 min after the hour.
The Fernbahnhof (long distance station) is connected to terminal 1 via a series of corridors. After arriving and exiting baggage claim, simply go up to the departure level and follow signs for the long distance station on the upper level. Maybe a 5-10 min walk depending where you arrive in terminal 1.
Lufthansa, all star alliance, and a few other airlines use terminal 1. But if you use AA, Delta, and most other airlines then you will arrive in terminal 2. Here you have a choice. Follow signs for the sky train to take you T2-T1 (frequent but more walking) or there is a slightly less frequent shuttle bus out front of the terminal that drops you at T1 closer to where you want to go for the corridors to the train station. Factor 20-25 min from T2 baggage claim to platforms for the trains versus 10 min walk from T1.
The train station is part of a large complex called the Squaire, has shops, restaurants, ticket kiosks, even a grocery store and hotel. The platforms are on the bottom floor.
Hope this helps. FRA can be a bit confusing but it is signed well considering how large it is.
Your walk-up fare on the long distance trains is €128 / 2 adults or $149. Or do you have a rail pass?
If you want to save some cash, you could get a saver fare (some are selling for around €60 - €70 / 2 at present for Thursday) at DB. But you would want to build in a substantial time cushion between flight arrival time and train departure - those fares need to be used on specific trains that you choose at the time of purchase, and if your flight is late, you might miss the pre-scheduled train... and be out the train fare.

... or check whether the airline sells Rail&Fly tickets (cheap and flexible tickets for one trip from the arrival airport to any train station in Germany, on the arrival day and the next day). A lot of airlines offer these. Lufthansa allows adding them to an existing booking - not all airlines allow that, though.
