Have a 7 hour layover in Frankfurt to Slovenia on Lufthansa. can anyone tell me about the use of Lufthansa lounges or other options? Wto shower and relax. Flying premium economy in September.
With a 7 hour layover, you might want to consider going into the city instead of hanging out in the airport for 7 hours. Frankfurt is a quick, 11 min. train ride away, with a train every 15 min. and there are so many historic sights there to see. Tell me the dates and I can tell you what events are happening like wine fests, farmers markets, etc.
September 18. are any special papers required to leave the airport and return? Thanks.
American citizens get an automatic visa. You get off the plane, show your passport and walk out. Store your bags at one of the luggage storage facilities, get some euro from the Deutsche Bank ATM's and go to the Regional train station located on the lower level under Arrivals B-1, in terminal 1. Just follow the signs. Get a group day ticket for 15.80 €. Machines take only small bills and coins, but switch into English. That is the only ticket you will need and it is valid for up to 5 people. Go to track 1 and get on any train that stops there.
On Fridays there is a large Farmers Market near the Hauptwache and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in the city center, a flower market near the Klein Markt Halle and from 16-20 Sept. an Alsace Market on the Paulsplatz next to the Paulskirche.
thanks for the information.
