Frankfurt Airport hotels

Will be departing from Frankfurt airport to return to US in late morning in June, and wondering if anyone has recommended hotels either at the airport or within fairly close distance?

The airport has 2 Hiltons and the Marriott/Sheraton hotels, and the Hiltons are located in the Squaire above the long distance train station, the Marriott/Sheraton along the passage going to the Squaire.

Gateway Gardens has lots of hotels and some of them may have shuttles or you can take an S-bahn 1 stop. S-8 or S-9

The city is about 15 min. away by train and there you will find 100s of hotels depending on your budget. Best location is around the Hauptwache which is 6 stops from that airport. S-8 or S-9.

The S-8 and S-9 are underneath terminal 1 and this is called the Regional train station. Ticket machines are turquoise and switch into English. The trains leave from platform 1.

I've used both the Marriott and Hilton. It's very easy to get to the terminal from either.

3 weeks ago we stayed at the Sheraton Airport. Very loud noise the hole night. Big night construction at the Airport.
Spring and summer we stayed at the B‘Mine Hotel Frankfurt. Nice small rooms. Nice Rooftop restaurant. It‘s just few minutes far from the Airport by Shuttle or Taxi. One time we walked from the hotel to the airport. We needed maybe 25 Min. . The walkway was not really nice. Constructions on this way. I would not recommend to walk.

Earlier last year we stayed at NH Frankfurt Airport. It was fine. It ran a free shuttle to the airport.

Marriott, Hilton and Sheraton hotels are attached to the Frankfurt Airport and a short distance by crossing the skywalk. We've stayed at all three which are fine, very convenient and especially so depending on your schedule.

I've stayed at the Sheraton and the Hilton Garden Inn at the airport/train station area. Both were convenient, and made it easy to get to the airport without having to rely on a shuttle or other form of transportation.

I've also stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Another vote for Hilton Garden Inn. Don't pay for the breakfast buffet. My friend did and was VERY disappointed. There is loads of food available all over the airport. There's even a Starbucks just outside the hotel.

I have stayed at the Marriott/Sheraton for many, many years. Very convenient.

In Gateway Gardens I have stayed at the Moxy. I walk (backpack carry-on) the 15 minutes to Terminal Two.

You're probably taking the Frankfurt to Seattle 10am flight like we did this summer! We had 3 little kids, so staying at the Hilton Garden Inn was worthwhile, even though it was your average boring airport hotel. Such a quick walk to check in!
