Hello does any one have experience flying SAS to Europe from the US? Flying from LAX in April to Munich and fares quoted on SAS much cheaper than other airlines? Regards Dennis
SAS is fine....
It was kind of leaning in the direction of becoming a budget airline because of their financial
status (my opinion) but the move to Skyteam and infusion of capital seems to have helped.
You will obviously have a connection in either Stockholm or Copenhagen (probably the latter),
but that does open up an opportunity for a stopover if you want it.
They tend to have quite good sales once or twice a year, and had one for Black Friday, so not
sure when another may pop up.
We flew SAS premium economy from Chicago to Norway in 2023. Service and meals were fine. The transfer in Copenhagen on our outbound was very easy. The transfer in Stockholm on the way home was a mess. But this was due to Swedish passport exit control, not SAS.
