Flexpreis ticket - board at another close by station

Hi everyone,

I asked a similar question earlier about the routes, but this more about the Flexpreis ticket's flexibility. :)
Thanks to everyone in advance.

My scheduled arrival at FRA is at 6:55 AM on Sep 17. And I need to reach Magdeburg by 3:30 PM at the most (landlord has other appointments after my check-in). Based on all the trains I have checked on DB app and considering flight and arrival process delays, there are more options from "Frankfurt (Main) Hbf" and "Frankfurt (Main) Süd" than "Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf" (the names are as is from DB app).

1) However, depending on my exit time from the airport, I would like to have the flexibility to got to any of the 3 starting points, by walk or taxi or S-Bahn (I know Flexpreis ticket won't apply for this). And then hop on to the best long distance train route from there. Is this possible if I purchase a Flexpreis starting from "Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf" to "Magdeburg Hbf"?

2) Or, with "FRANKFURT (MAIN)" as starting point (again, name as is), the DB app lists options from both "Frankfurt (Main) Hbf" and "Frankfurt (Main) Süd". So, can I purchase a Flexpreis starting from "FRANKFURT (MAIN)" and keep my options to these 2 starting points?

By the way, I will be carrying a baggage consisting of two 60cm (24") trolley bags and a backpack.

Generally speaking, you can use your Flexpreis ticket on any connection. This includes ones that contain Regional Trains and SBahn (they run every 5 minutes, unless there is a breakdown => no need for a taxi). So you can hop on the train on any later stop you want.
However, technically you can only hop on if your ticket was covering the new stop as well. Most should do that, though, as Frankfurt Main will be contained anyway, I think.

Going to other stations will not help you. You are over thinking this. The 10:41 departure from Frankfurt (M) Flughafen Fernbahnhof is the last train that get you there (at 2:57 PM). There are several trains before that one. If you buy a Flexpreis ticket, you can take any of them.

You are massively overthinking this.

Tickets are not for trains, tickets are for routes. So you need a ticket from "Frankfurt Airport" to "Magdeburg:"
If you buy a Flexpreis ticket you are allowed to take any train an any logical routing from FRA to Magdeburg. And that includes taking the S-Bahn to connect to a long distance train at another station.

So what you should do is:
- Buy a flexpreis ticket FRA - Magdeburg for your arrival date.
- Once you are out of immigration and have picked up your luggage whip out your phone, and use the DB Navigator app to figure out what the next connection to Magdeburg looks like. Then just take it.

Thank you everyone. Yes, I know I am overthinking a bit, as I have to reach my destination on time with the least risk. :)

Sam, the problem with the route reaching Magdeburg at 2:57 PM is, if I miss the connecting train, I can never reach my apartment by 3:30 PM.

Wengen, thank you. That's exactly what my plan is. My only question was, when I come out and I see (on DB app) that there are earlier trains from Frankfurt (Main) Hbf or Süd, will the Flexpreis ticket (FRA - Magdeburg) allow me to go to either of these, and then hop on to the Magdeburg route. From your answer, I can understand that it is possible.

Thank you once again.
