I'm back for more advice! I found the following accommodation when searching for affordable places near(ish) the train station in Bamberg. On the small(ish) chance that anyone on here has stayed there, I thought I'd post to see if you would recommend (or not) staying at: Ferienwohnung Klosterblick (http://klosterblick.com/index.html). It does not appear on any of the usual sites (tripadvisor, booking.com, etc.), but I'm trying not to let that stop me from booking!

It does not surprise me that a small and conveniently located place hasn't signed up with any booking service. If they only have one or two rooms, they can probably get enough business through old fashioned methods.
A google search has pictures and one good review from a reviewer, Sören Horn, that has made other less favorable reviews.
I could not find it on Bamberg's website referral list for Ferienwohnungen. There are several others on the website to choose from.
