I'm looking for a place to stay for a farm in Bavaria for a week or 2 next spring. Any suggestions?
I don't know how much info you will find on this forum, but just in case, you can try going to the Bavarian tourism agency. They have listings there and you might want to contact them as well. Here are some ideas I got by searching their website: https://bavaria.travel/service/search/?search=farm%20holiday
Are you interested in just Germany or possibly Austria? The reason I ask is that when i was taking German classes at the local university, I had to write a paper on Salzburg and sustainability. One of the issues was sustainable tourism housing and I came across a place that lists farm holidays that have organic food and are sustainable. In case you are interested, here is their site: https://www.farmholidays.com/en

30km northwest of Neuschwanstein Castle
I lived in Augsburg for four years and loved traveling in Germany, but living on a farm for two weeks, NO.
This would seriously narrow your experience. Expand it and visit some great historic and scenic places.
Why not staying at a farm and doing daytours?
When he/she wanted to do a Roadtrip he/she would have said.
Mostly people know what they want to do.
Uwe04 is right. Do what you want to do and stay on a farm. 😊 Personally, I think it would be a wonderful experience and I don't blame you a bit for wanting to do this. Anyone can be a tourist and see all the sights, but it would be a unique experience to stay on a farm and learn about the agriculture of the country you are visiting. Plus, you can still go take day trips and enjoy the beautiful scenery around you.
Was there a particular area in Bavaria you were looking for? I've seen places in the Bavarian Forest but may not be what you are looking for. I stayed at a hotel once near a pig farm in summer. The smell and flies were really bad. I've stayed at a few other places too, Grandpa taking care of the cows, kittens defecating on the steps and the smell from the barn of course. The family fully engaged with the farm and the room as a side. What are you looking for? A real farm or a hotel/apartment like Baurer experience? Fresh eggs are always good. Many make their own cheese.
