We are flying into Ramstein AFB and plan on taking 9 days to travel throughout Germany in a car. Here is our plan. I am looking to find out what to explore during the second half of our trip after we leave Zurich. We are a family of 4 which includes 2 teenagers so I want to balance fun activities with cultural sites. They are also WWII buffs
Day 1 travel from Kaiserslaten to Garmisch Looking for things to do along the way maybe stop and see Stuttgardt?
Day 2-5 Day trips (staying in GaPa for 5 nights) to Dachau/Eagles Nest/Innsbruck/Local area around GaPa
Day 6 Neuschwanstein into zurich
Maybe we should do Neuschwanstein during one of days 2-5 and just take day 6 to drive to Zurich and find something to explore in Switzerland on the way
Day 7 Zurich to Frieburg . We were looking for a route that would take us through the Black forest with a hike some place or something else interesting to see/do along the way
Day 8 Frieburg to Baden Baden Looking for something to do along this path
Day 9 may be an extra day to explore the area as we make our way back to Ramstein NLT day 10
If we had an extra night should spend it in Frieburg, Baden Baden or add in a town like Heidelburg.

After the flight and looking at a 5 hour drive jet lagged (without Stau), not sure you want to make a stop between Kaiserslaten to Garmisch?
Zurich to Frieburg maybe a stop and walk around the Titsee or up to the top of the Arber mountain?
