Family of 6 Stay Garmisch & Berchtesgaden Recommendations

I've stayed in this unit in Garmisch.

It has a particularly spacious living area where there is room for another few to sleep. The view is nice. LIsted as sleeping 6. There is parking or it is just 5 minutes walk from the bus stop and grocery store/bakery.

Bring your own soap if you go there because it is not provided. (learned the hard way)

If you can work in another place to see in the GP area, check out Oberammergau which is very close. You can google it and see if it holds any interest for your group.

You need to check the schedule for the Zugspitze. This is the time they close for maintenance.

Here is the schedule that you were directed to check out. I think you just need to watch your timing carefully. I was also curious if the Austrian side closes down at the same time as well? Perhaps that is an alternative.

Thank you all for letting me know about Zugsptize possibly being closed during this time period. I decided to go the Garmisch route 1st, giving the Eagles Nest more time to open up not realizing Zugsptize could possibly be closed. Ahhh
