Family of 5 in Munich

I’m trying to book our last lodging for a long month-long trip my family is taking next summer. Our final two nights will be in Munich before we fly home from Munich.

Has anyone stayed at Hotel Augustin in Munich? It gets very good reviews and our family of five (2 adults, 3 kids) could reserve a room with six beds. It seems to be like a hostel. It sounds like it’s close to public transportation and easy enough to get into the old part of the city to sightsee.

I’ve had a hard time finding something in Munich for five without staying in two separate hotel rooms. I’ve checked apartments on Airbnb and Booking, but haven’t come across much. The rest of our trip next summer is all a combination of apartments or house rentals.

Any info or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

personally I prefer a location a bit more center to the altstadt (old city). Try the Hotel am Viktualinmarkt right in the center. They have a big apartment on the top floor. It’s also affordable.

Thanks Tim,
I did check with them earlier and unfortunately the two nights that we need are not available for the apartment. I would prefer also to be closer to the old part of the city. We could do the Pension Lindner and get two rooms... or it seems our other option is to stay a bit further out and be all together. Our kids will be 7, 10 and almost 13.
