After completing a Viking cruise in Regensburg on a Sunday, we want to get to Prague before noon. Are there any van transport services? Seem like a train is the only option - is this one direct train or do we need to change trains? Is ALEX the best train option? Thank you!
Flixbus goes to Prague direct from Regensburg. Looks like there is an 8:50 bus that gets there by 12:10. Otherwise the Alex trains go every 2 hours and are 4 hours to Prague. Looks like the 8:15 Sunday train requires a change at Schwandorf.
Thanks - neither of those options arrive before noon.
As I kept searching - looks like "Rail Europe" has a 6:15 AM direct train to Prague (PLN) - main station - arrives in 4 hours. Hoping that is legitimate....
I am seeing car services pop-up - $300 - for 2 - would need to know they are legitimate as well....
Rail Europe does not have trains. It is just a travel agent. Use www.bahn.de, which will have all the trains, and will allow you to book.
Thanks so much for your fast reply - very helpful!
Yes the 6:15 train is an Alex and is direct, so if you can get off the boat in time to make it, that would work. A nonrefundable Prag-Spezial advance purchase ticket is 60 EUR for 2,

Compare fares at www.cd.cz (czech state railways, which operates the ALEX jointly with the German Laenderbahn). Has often way better offers than DB.com.
Agree - www.cd.cz (czech state railways - offered a first class seat at 6:15 for similar prices as on the other site - thanks!
