Has anyone been to a Euro Cup fan zone? We are spending a couple weeks in Italy and visiting our sons who live in Bavaria a week in June. My youngest son is a huge football fan. Tickets have already been sold but there is a fan zone at Olympic Park for viewing and festivities in Munich. Any insight?

Thanks! I found the site earlier but wanted insight into the atmosphere of the viewing parties. We were in Munich for his 15th birthday and watched at a sports pub. We have our hotel in Munich as our flight leaves at 11ish and I am not one to take a day of train. We were left at a station last December in the middle of Bavaria with no notice. Ha! Someday we will make a match in person.

You will likely find also other public viewings, e. g. with a large TV screen in a Biergarten.
The current mood in Germany regarding this upcoming event is positive - even UEFA organisation is seen critically.
