Enough time between flights. SAN-FRA-MUC and MUC-FRA-SAN

Travel agent booked our roundtrip flight on Lufthansa from San Diego to Munich via Frankfort and assured me that we have enough time on our layovers to make the connecting flight. I guess I'm just looking for some folks whom have actually taken the trip or something similar to it to validate what the agent is saying. We land at Frankfort from SD and have 1hr and 50 minutes to make our flight to Munich which lands and takes off from terminal 1. Is that enough time to get through immigration/customs and make the connection? On the way back we only have 1hr and 5 minutes to make the connecting flight to San Diego; it's also arriving and departing from terminal 1.

Thanks!

1:50 hrs is enough time. Furthermore transatlantic flights to Europe arrive somteimes ahead of time due to tail winds.

1:05 hrs transit for way back after domestic from MUC is OK but not much time. You need to be 20 minutes prior to departure at the gate, so 45 minutes net time between touching ground. Little reserve in German domestic flight times beacuse they already plan 10-15 over flight time but at real busy days in Frankfurt it can become tight. If very tight LH will pick you up at arrival gate and will bring you directly to departure gate. Luggage needs to be checked through in both directions.

Did few trips to US and back via Frankfurt. Furthermore I traveled some years weekly FRA T1, also via "new" Z area.

Look at what your back up is if you miss a connection. Lufthansa has another flight to Munich 3 hours later at 2:15 pm. On the return, there is only 1 direct flight to San Diego at 10:00 am, but many flights after that with connections, like 10:15 through LAX and 10:30 through SFO, 1:35 pm though Dulles, and 2:05 pm through LAX, all with 2 1/2 connection times or longer.

The OP is not traveling through San Francisco, they are using San Diego airport.
