We are traveling to Spain in a few days. We return through Munich in two weeks and will have to go through EES at the Munich airport. We have a two hour layover. Has anyone had any experience recently with how quickly you get through the process in Munich? Thank you!

We arrived April 29 and we were a family of 3 and were through in just a couple of minutes. We arrived in Munich and it was very fast. Just took our pictures,fingerprinted us, and were on our way. I think it was quicker than previous arrivals. Good luck.

We did EES on arrival in Frankfurt and it was a breeze. Return so (exit) was very long snaking line and delays in Munich for Non EU. No one was able to use the machines. It was all wait for the Grenz kontrolle police and present passport and get photographed and finger printed. Many many layers of security and presenting passport to get to that point, (shoes off, socks patted down) but it was all orderly and I suppose we should feel comforted they have such security in mind. Perhaps it changes with current events but our daughters EES exit return to US just 4 days earlier from Munich presented no such long lines etc. My tip is just be patient and be flexible and allow for plenty of time.
