I can recommend the fine dining restaurant Husar in Garmisch.
I was there before Covid but friends of mine only some months ago.

I don't have any great restaurant suggestions, but I wanted to assure you that there are good public transport options in G-P. We found we could take the bus almost anywhere.

Friends just returned from Garmisch today and Zum Wildschütz was there favorite too. They stayed at and also recommended Hotel Zugspitze.
