Easter 2025 in Bavaria

If you have the chance I recommend to stay over May 1st in Bavaria to experience also the tradition of Maibaum (Maypole).

I recommend you wait a couple months until after the New Year starts. Then you can get the dates for the events. Right now everything is geared towards Christmas.

Bavaria is very Catholic, so there should be some special events, but there aren't a lot of what most people consider "castles". There are some excellent Schloss (think "palace"). But the area around Munich is pretty flat, which doesn't lend itself to moats and turreted towers.

Just be advised that there are both federal and local holidays at that time of year and those can impact such things as transport and services.

I will be in Munich for Easter as well but I have been there often. Keep in mind that Good Friday and Easter Monday as well as Easter are public holidays as you plan. So banks, post office, many stores and businesses will be closed those days. Good Friday, like most Sundays in Munich, are "silent days" meaning one is expected to avoid loud cavorting, etc.
I am sure the Frauenkirche (Cathedral) will have mass and probably on Easter Saturday as well. You did not state your ages or if you have children but there is an Easter Festival at Olympia Park.
If you are using public transit, expect some changes to the schedules as well.
Of course you will not rent a car in Munich. Their transit is great though I think the U6 is undergoing work right now.
If it is your first time, of course you will want to see Neuschwanstein Castle but do not rush to quick out of Munich. it is a delightful and diverse city and the museums are fantastic.

Easter is a regular Sunday in Bavaria; only in state of Brandenburg Easter Sunday is a holiday.
