Early Dec Sledding at Garmisch/ Mt Wank or other active day trip from Munich

Hello,
We will have 1 day avail for a day trip from Munich on 9 or 10 Dec and are thinking of renting a car. I'm interested in sledding/ hiking and ideally a spa/pool/hot springs. Some options on the table, all weather dependent as we don't want to sit in traffic all day. : Partnach Gorge, Zugspitze or just the toboggon or hiking at Mt Wank, maybe Linderhof if the weather is very poor. The websites for Tegelberg, Zugspitze, etc are surprisingly short on a lot of practical info
Can anyone weigh in with recommendations for an active day w a quick dip at a pool? We are from the Rockies so no worries if it's snowing, we just may not be packing our coldest weather gear. The rest of out time is in cities/indoor stuff (except the Xmas Markets) so we really want to get outside and see a bit of the Alps. If we rent a car, would prefer not to drive thru Austria and deal w/ the extra paperwork.

Also, anyone been to the Chinese Christmas Market at the English Gardens in Munich?

Thank you in advance!

G-P (Zugspitze and Partnach) is easily accessible by train....

The Zugspitze cog railway departs from just adjacent to the G-P Bahnhof. You will, of course, be competing with the skiers headed to the glacier.

You can catch the bus to Oberammergau and then the next on to Linderhof from the bus plaza on the other side of the Bahnhof. Not sure about the schedules in December.

Partnach Gorge is up the trail along the creek between Garmisch and Partenkirchen just east of the Bahnhof.

Thank you Nick. Turns out Mt Wank is closed next week (?!?) And as cool as Zugspitze looks, that ends up almost $150 to go sledding. So, I'll be looking for another option. I think Tegelberg toboggan is closed too.
Welcome if anyone else sees this and has suggestions.
Thanks,
Kirsten

You might try in Reit im Winkl. There is a Hallenbad in Reit im Winkl too. I'd check with the tourist office to see if any sledding is possible. Unfortunately it looks like the Hindenburgnütte there is closed until 14 Dec too. Regardless Reit im Winkl is a nice town. Finding snow might be your biggest problem for sledding in Germany this week. I checked in Mittenwald and the Skilift am Kranzberg is closed and in Aschau the Kampenwandseilbahn is closed for TÜV maintenance too.

Thank you all. We have a few more days so I still welcome any other input. Looks like a hike and a Bad may be perfect.
