Worse will follow I'm afraid. Nine EU-countries (or should I say Nato countries) with drone activities since a few months ... cyber war continuing
Lithuania 28 July
Romania 8 & 13 September
Latvia 8 September
Poland 9 & 10 September
France 22 September
Norway 23 September
Denmark 25 &28 September & 3 October
Germany 26 September & 3 October
Belgium 3 October
Or hobbiest that would have been ignored 6 months ago, or sicko locals who want to see if they can shut down an airport. Ukrainian anti drone specialists are in the Baltics training the local military. Who could have guessed. Its a new world.
Mr E^, be carefull, do not copy Hungarian thought, the torn in the flesh of EU and NATO. This night 15 drones were flying around above Elsenborn military training grounds in Belgium. Fifteen drones: that's no longer a hobbyist. You're not someone who takes out their toys in the evening.
And you are certainly completely ignorant of the fact that this is the only place in Belgium where troops can be trained in long-range weapons, direct and indirect fire...not spreading other information. In fact, you should be ashamed to spread such statements.
Unfortunately, Windyram, some of the regulars on this forum are clueless about world events and what is actually happening. Fifteen drones over Eisenborn base on top of the thirteen drone incidents during the last 35 days in Europe you have cited is clearly no hobbyist and no accident.
Russian "hobbyists" recently flew several drones over Poland.
There were also some really big "drones" over Estonia and here in Alaska.
This is a new normal and a new wrinkle for travelers to contend with.
