I will be going to Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, then back to Germany in August and September.
Does anyone have recommendations on what types of clothes I should bring? My research shows that temperatures are around high 60's to low 70's during that time.

I think you are off by 10 F. It's going to be up to 80-85 F. But in late september, nights will be chilly. Are you going anywhere in mountainous parts?
Wow. Really. That's great. I thought September was due to be chilly. No I don't think I'll be going to the mountains.
You cant begin to average the temperatures across all of Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary. So picking one probable stop:
Budapest
August 82° / 63°
September 73° / 55°
So if you were to walk in to Budapest on September 1st the historic average would be the average of the two or 59 as a low (jut before sunrise) and 77/78 as a high.
Keep in mind that the Europeans dont usually appreciate air conditioning as much as we do; so you will feel the heat no matter where you are.
August is HOT! Pack shorts.
I arrive Budapest 26 July, but go to the Slovak Tatras about a week later to escape the heat and do some fishing; returning to Budapest about a week later. Then a week after that its Burgas; if its going to be hot i want to be on the beach; then back to Budapest for another week till 18 August. Wave if you see me
