Dresden Historic Green Vault travel quandry

I have a reservation for the Historic Green Vault in Dresden for 10:30 AM on the same day that I am leaving town for Berlin. (I wanted to see it the day before but it's closed). I am staying in the Neustadt. My question is which train station should I leave from to head for Berlin... Hauptbanhof or Neustadt? My hotel is near tram #11 which goes to Neustadt station and then to the area near the Green Vault and then to the
Hauptbahhof? Do I leave my bag at the hotel, or should I stow it at one of the stations... if so, which station? Or can I bring my bag to the Green Vault and will they stow it for me? Thanks - Don

If you are on the EC train that leaves Dresden Hbf at 17:07, it stops at Neustatd bf at 17:14. In fact every train, direct or connecting to Berlin Hbf, stops at Neustdt bf.

There are luggage lockers at Neustadt bf. I don't see anything at the museum site to indicate luggage storage, so I wouldn't count on it unless you call and confirm.

I don't know about the Green Vault specifically, but many museums in Europe will NOT store heavy luggage because their cloakrooms get filled up with tourists leaving their luggage there all day and blocking space for actual visitors.

Sounds like almost any plan requires 3 tram tickets. Bag storage at the hotel should be free, but storage at Neustadt station might save some time in the overall plan.

Thanks everyone. I worte the museum and they have lockers for small bags and they will take luggage but maybe I shouldn't take a chance... I think I'll stow my bag at the station.

BTW, in addition to the Grünes Gewölbe the Residenzschloss also contains one of the best armor collections I've seen. It isn't the largest, but some of the pieces are amazingly detailed and elaborate.
