Traveling from Prague to Berlin via train with a stop in Dresden for a day. Any recommendations for moderately priced accommodations? Would prefer good area with access to restaurants or grocery stores. Thanks!

I stayed at the Intercity Hotel in Dresden and would highly recommend it. It's right across from the rail station, the staff are very helpful, there are Trams stops in front of the hotel and it's within easy walking distance to a large pedestrian mall that has lots of shops, restaurants, etc.
It's unfortunate that you can't spend more than one night there, as there's lots to see.

I'm also a fan of the Westin (Bellevue), right on the Elbe. Some of the rooms have views of the old town and they really are a spectacular treat to wake up to!

I enjoyed the Intercity next to the Hbf. It has been a few years, but they offered a free pass for the day to use on the trams, etc. Plus they had bikes to rent/use. Comfy bed, nice showers, and A/C.

I was also provided with the free transit pass during my stay at the Intercity Hotel. That was most convenient!
