I made online reservations this week for the castles/museum requesting a "start" time of 1:30 since we will be arriving from Munich by train at 11:15 & the website stated that as of 1/1/18, tickets must be picked up 1.5 hours earlier. When I got my confirmation sheet, our assigned time was 12:55 but the pickup time listed was just 1 hour earlier. I emailed back and asked a)was the required pick up time 1 or 1.5 hours and b)if it was 1.5, could my reservation be made for 1:30 or later per my original request since I did not feel comfortable with only 10 minutes between arrival and last pickup. The reservation center replied back saying that I was correct, it was 1.5 hours
& I got a new confirmation this morning with a later time (2:55) but the required pick up still shows an hour. Long story short--double check your assigned time because it may be very different than what you requested and add .5 hours to the latest pick up time listed until their automated system catches up to the new requirements.

You're welcome! We will be there on April 4, so we're getting close. I saw that the pick up time change was effective on 1/1, but you would think that the confirmations would be corrected by now.

Booked our Neuschwanstein tickets on March 13 for our May 4 visit. Latest pick-up time shows as 08:25 for our 09:55 entry, so they're properly showing the 1.5 hours advance pick-up deadline.

Thanks. I made reservations in December, the email sending the tickets said 1.5 hours, but the ticket states the latest pick up time is just 1.0 hour before the tour. If you hadn't warned, I probably would not have noticed the discrepancy and would have gone by the ticket.
UPDATE: They just got back to me and said "as you start with the castle Hohenstaufen you can pick up the tickets till 1,0 hour before the tour starts." My tickets are for both Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein, apparently it makes a difference which castle you are starting at.

Strange--we start with that castle also. Oh well, I'd rather have more time than be racing around.
