I will be traveling to Munich in May.
Will be taking the S8 to Karlzplatz. My question is:
What is the difference between an airport city day ticket or a group day ticket?
I want to reach Karlzplatz from the airport , check into my hotel and thereafter walk around.since I don't intend using any public transport , a day ticket is pinching me.
Please advise me what ticket we should buy to simply reach Karlzplatz from the airport (2 people)
I don't have any use for a day ticket

The single ticket from the airport to Karlsplatz is 11.20 EUR, so for 2 its 22.40 EUR. You could buy an all-zone group day ticket for 23.90 EUR. So you see, by paying only 1.50 EUR more, you can ride any S-Bahn, U-Bahn, Tram, Bus in the Munich transit district until 6 am the next day.

An airport city day ticket can be for either a single person or a group. A single or group day ticket can be for any number of zones - Inner, inner 2, outer three, or all four.
An airport day ticket, single or group, is just a day ticket for four zones, which includes the airport.
