DHL from Germany

I recently visited Germany and had several packages shipped home by DHL. I have not received the packages yet but wondered if anyone else can give me a good telephone number to call in Germany. I am not concerned about the packages actually arriving, and I realize it could take 6 to 8 weeks. I found a webpage that tracks my packages; however, it has not updated since December 16th. I called a DHL phone number but the recording is in German and I am uncertain about how to get to an English menu. The number I am calling (from U.S.) is: 011 49 1805 3452255.

Thank you, Michael. I did try that; however, they said because I shipped the packages FROM Germany, they would not be able to help me. :(

Mari,

Did you use a "DHL" shop or their "Post office"?

I used their "post office" to send stuff home and it didnt take 6 weeks. Now just something you may consider is the holidays that we just went through. So if you sent them back during that time, i can understand things slowing down.

Also, just a short story, i sent some packages home from krakow via their postal service and "economy" rate. It was really inexpensive but it took over a month to get them. They more than likely went by boat.

if you decide to do this again, try asking the clerks to see what they will give you as an "estimate" on the delivery time. I dont use their "estimate" as gospel, but as an idea so i can make sure someone will be able to receive the package.

If you kept your paperwork, they have have given you some additional info on it.

what you can also try is to use the email to contact them.

happy trails.

DHL is German mail, it's their packet/parcel/logistics division. In Germany "post office" and "DHL shop" are one and the same.
