Does anyone have any ideas on how to find local concerts that might have information available in advance so they can be added into our itinerary? Planing on a few Christmas markets and thought some local concerts would be a nice way to see some of the churches in the area we will be visiting.

I think you need to detail what Christmas markets, churches where and when or at least a city/region. Local concerts Austria, Germany and Switzerland is pretty vague. Think you are putting the cart before the horse.

Here are a couple of sites I used when planning our Dec 2016 trip. These are for Salzburg. We attended an Advent concert in St Andrew's Church; it featured traditional Austrian instruments, some drama, singing. Everything in Austrian German so you may get bored during the drama sequence. But beautiful ambiance in an old church.
Another suggestion is the dinner & concert at the fortress. Dinner first, then a chamber orchestra concert in a small venue.

I think we have most of our itinerary set. A few days in Munich and then on to Salzburg and Innsbruck the first week and then to Zurich and the surrounding area for the next week. How do you learn if a church is having Advent concerts? It looks like Salzburg area has concerts listed but you cannot determine price unless you call. My sister plays the bells in a church choir so that might be something she may want to see. Any tips would be appreciated.
