I previously booked Super Sparpreis tickets (with seat reservations) for my family on the December 3 ICE 200 train from Offenburg to Cologne, departing 10:28.
Deutsche Bahn notified me this week that my journey "is no longer possible." Apparently ICE 200 will be starting in Karlsruhe rather than Basel on Dec 3, and will therefore not be serving Offenburg.
I understand that I can now use my tickets on another train to Cologne on December 3. My question is, are my seat reservations on ICE 200 still valid?
We are staying in Strasbourg, so instead of taking a train to Offenburg, we are now planning to take the 08:44 ICE from Strasbourg to Karlsruhe, where we will board ICE 200 at 11:00. While the DB app is showing "trip cancelled" for my original journey on ICE 200, my understanding is that my seat reservations on that train are still valid. Is that correct? Thank you.
