If I am reading the news right, negotiations were finalized yesterday and there will be no more strikes this year. Great news for us are we are planning to travel in April.
Can someone closer to the issue confirm this?

Yes, there is an agreement achieved (source).
So, no strikes from GDL until end of 2025.
Tariff framework with EVG union is fixed until end of March 2025.
Still possible that strike calls by verdi union may impact train traffic and / or regional public transport sooner or later.
