We are in Mettlach tonight, would like some possible for a day trip for tomorrow about an hour away.
Any suggestions for a town in France, Germany or Luxembourgh…spent today in Trier.

The Lorraine American Cemetery is about an hour from where you are in Saint-Avold France. There are over 10,000 soldiers who died in WWII buried there. I have been there a few times, mainly as I have a great uncle buried there. The sheet number of graves there is mind boggling. It is very well kept and the caretakers are wonderful.
Other than that, I haven't really been near where you are - I would think Luxembourgh City would be a good day trip too.

Thanks, Susan K for your recommendation….we did go to the cemetery and it didn’t disappoint.
We also stopped at the small memorial for the US 95th company that a friend whose father was in the company wrote us about.
