Day ticket for Bavaria (Bayern-Ticket)

Hello,

I have a question on the validity times of the regional Bavarian Day Ticket.
We are traveling from our vacation spot in Switzerland over to Germany. We will be leaving Switzerland Sunday March 22nd , arriving in Buchloe at 16:41 and continuing straight on to Fussen. I thought the Bavarian Day ticket would be good for us since we will be staying just in that region for 2 days.

My question is the website for the ticket states that the validity on weekends is midnight. So, if I am understanding this correctly I would purchase the ticket effective Saturday for my travel on Sunday afternoon ? I was hoping someone would know about this pass and could confirm this for me as I have not received a reply from website contact.

Thank you!

Not quite sure what you are trying to say, but if you bought a Bayern-Ticket "effective"(?) Saturday, it would be valid from Saturday morning at midnight (00:00) until 3 AM (03:00) the following (Sunday) morning. It would not be valid on Sunday afternoon.

You don't have to purchase the ticket on the day you use it. If you purchase the ticket on Saturday, at an automat, it will give you the choice of the validity day - Saturday (heute), Sunday (morgen) or any other date that you select from a calendar. If you purchase it at a ticket counter, you will get the same choice, but it will cost an extra 2€. If you pick Sunday (morgen) as the validity date, the ticket will allow you to travel any time after midnight Sunday morning until 3 AM Monday morning. The validity date will be printed on the ticket.

If you buy the ticket from the Bahn online, it will also give you the choice of validity days. Pick the date for Sunday.
