Travel advice ? Train and bus? Also, need the English tour which is at 11 and 1. How hard is it to get a tour ticket? Thanks.

Check the MVV app. I believe it is a train to Dachau, the a bus. Your destination is Dachau Gedenkstaette.

The website explains how to get there. Use the MVV app to buy train tickets online. The website recommends getting your tour tickets at least 30 minutes in advance. No reservations.

From any S-Bahn station in town (Ostbahnhof to the Hbf), take an S2 in the direction of Petershausen or Altomünster. Get off at Dachau Bahnhof. I believe the station sign just says "Dachau". It's the next stop after Karlsfeld.
From the bus station in front of the Bahnhof, take the 726 bus (Bahnsteig 5), 7 minutes to the KZ-Gedenkstätte Dachau.

I just did this last year. Very easy. S2 train to Dachau, then pick up the bus which is right outisde the Dachau train stop, take bus to camp. Virtually everyone getting off the train in Dachau is going to the camp, so following the herd should get you to the bus.
