We will only be in Munich later Dec 23 through early 26th. We really want to see Dachau and understand that it is closed on the 24th, but open the 25th. I've already verfied there are no tours, but can't find information on holiday train schedule and, I think, the bus that we need to take. Doesn't anyone have information? Thanks!!

Trains and buses run basically on a normal sunday schedule. Time tables from dec. 10 aren't online yet but searching www.bahn.com for dec. 3 (from: Muenchen Hbf to: KZ-Gedenkstaette Dachau) may give you an idea.

Here is the information about the public transportation in Germany. Use from: Muenchen Hbf and to: KZ-Gedenkstaette-Dachau. (Actually if you just start "Muenchen" it will offer "Muenchen Hbf", amongst other destinations on a pulldown; same thing for KZ-Gedenkstaette). Be sure to input date and time in European format.
The Dachau site says the site is open on 25 December, and there should be tours (in English at 11 AM and 1 PM). The trains and buses should run on the normal "every 20 minute" schedule, but check with the Bahn site when the new schedule is posted (should be on or before Nov. 1).
