I am planning a trip for myself and my daughter to Munich in June. The trip will fall entirely within the calendar month of June. We would like to do several day trips Fussen for Neuschwastein, Salzburg, a stop or two along the Romantic Road, possibly Dauchau. The D-Ticket is appealing because it would cover all forms of transportation and as I understand it, we could just get on any train at any time (as long as it's not IC or ICE). What I am struggling with is how to show that we both have valid tickets if only one of us, that is to say me, has a phone. It does not seem to make sense to me to have her bring her phone and pay $10/day for data just to show she has a valid ticket. Has anyone else been in this situation? How can you use one mobile device to show that more than one person has a valid D-Ticket? Can you load more than one ticket onto a single app? Do you use two different apps, one for each person? If two apps are needed, which two should I put on my phone?
Apps are designed so that you do not need permanent mobile connection to show the ticket. Always have an ID with you to allow person identification.

I'd follow the advice of the Man in Seat 61:

Scroll down to "Deutschlandticket / Children"
Have you daughter bring her phone!!! I can't imagine a teen without a phone. She can put it in Airplane mode and still use WiFi at hotel, on trains, restaurants, etc. without incuring any fees. As stated, she does not need to be online to use the MVV app (if that is who you are using) to access her D-Ticket. Of course, she will need to be online to download the app and to purchase the ticket.
Also, check with your mobile provider. The may not charge for a second phone or may have a maiximum billing cycle amout they charge.
