I had planned on buying my tickets through the MVV app, but I got a message that they have paused selling them due to fraud. Has anyone tried using the HVV App? We leave in 2 weeks and I am starting to panic.

No, not used that app, but look through the information from The Man in Seat 61" https://www.seat61.com/train-travel-in-germany.htm#Deutschlandticket
He recommends two sources, I have used Tranzer several times, quick, easy, they take US credit cards, and they cancel the subscription immediately. The ticket is loaded to your digital wallet on your phone.

Purchasing other tickets on the DB site has not been a problem but the site took me to another DB link for the D-Ticket where one issue or another presented itself. Previously, since the D-Ticket was rolled out, we were able to use the MVV website/app until trying to give it a go today. Obstacles everywhere for one odd reason or another (mostly related to IBAN financial system). What worked, thanks to other suggestions on the web, was the HVV-Switch app (related but different from the HVV (Hamburg transit association), and then select PayPal as your payment method (VISA/MC did not work presumably the IBAN issue).
I also used my middle name in the registration as another place references the need to have a matching name from the official identification document, be it Drivers License or Passport.

Thanks, Mark, for the update. I’d successfully used the MVV app (iOS) to purchase a D-Ticket over the last two summers, and I was very interested when this came up.

Trying to purchase the D-ticket for myself, as well as 2 other family members. The MVV app I used in 2024 is not working.
Have others used any of these websites?

We will be traveling in Germany beginning May 15-30. Some of the websites say you have to cancel by the 10th of the month (May?) or be charged for another month.
