Cologne/Leverkusen

Hi:

My son's soccer team is looking at a trip to Leverkusen and on to Amsterdam for the end of March in 2016.

Anyone been to Leverkusen? We would also be spending a day in Cologne... what does everyone think about these destinations? We have only been to Munich before. Also it will be late March, I'm guessing the weather will be cold? Wet?

We also could do England instead, but we have done Scotland before so kind of wanted something different...

Thanks!
Kim

Leverkusen basically is Cologne, so I'd stay in Cologne. Leverkusen is just a 20 minute S-bahn away.

What do Leverkusen, Mönchengladbach, Gelsenkirchen, Paderborn, Wolfsburg, Dortmund and Hoffenheim all have in common? They're all relatively unattractive, unintersting German cities that just happen to host teams in the top tier of the Bundesliga.

Stay in Köln.

The weather will likely be wet, but impossible to predict this far in advanced how cold or warm it will be. It varies rather widely year to year.
