Cochem it is! Anyone stayed at Hotel Lohspeicher?

Thanks for all the advice under a different thread about Cochem.

The web site for the hotel is in german only. Therefore I ended up booking through Booking.com which I don't like to do.

Looking for advice on how to contact them. All I get is a telephone number. I tried e-mailing with an address given to me through a different thread and they never answered. Has anyone had any experience how best to contact them and staying there?

Thanks

Dot

The Lohspeicher website contact page has their email address:
KONTAKT

If they don't respond at this time of year, well, that's not really unusual for family-run German inns that operate seasonally. Some owners take month-long vacations at this time of year. Or they at this time be paying attention only to the online bookings they get through their website or booking.com.

You can check availability for the dates you like at THIS PAGE on their website. Enter your check-in and -out dates using the pop-up calendar and hit "Verfügbarkeit prüfen" (check availability.) Available rooms will pop up. Use an online translator for copying/pasting the room description? You can at least see if they have what you're looking for. Prices start at €90 for double with breakfast (a tad high for Cochem.)

You can also click on "accommodation request" through the Cochem Tourist office and request an offer from the Lohspeicher using THIS PAGE.

I haven't stayed in Cochem in some time. I recently booked a single at this B&B place with 9 rooms near the castle, and not too far from the Lohspeicher, for my nephew (via email.) He loved it and enjoyed his chats with the owners and locals that stopped in for an afternoon glass of wine. Doubles run from €48 to €57 with breakfast.

Thanks Russ. I'll wait and e-mail again next month. I've got the reservation just need to check on types of rooms.

Does anyone know anything about wine tasting tours or self led via car rental?

Hi Dot,

I contacted them successfully via their email on this page:
http://lohspeicher.de/Kontakt

I used Google Translate to translate the web pages. Was close enough for me to get the gist of what was included. Someone with more tech experience might have better advice than this to translate the web pages.

Posted my thoughts on the hotel in one of your previous threads, but we are excited to be staying here again!

We stayed there in December of 2011. I reviewed it on Trip Advisor 1/6/12. We really enjoyed our visit. We thought the breakfast was great, but did not eat at the restaurant because it was closed. It is supposed to be good, though. We had a really good view from the room and found it to be clean. We really liked the town and will go back there again one day.
Thanks - Bill
