What are their ages and will you have a car or not?

My children always enjoyed sledding in the winter. Most ski areas will also rent sleds and have designated areas for sledding. One of the more impressive routes is Wallberg (http://www.wallbergbahn.de/en/winter/sledding-run/) but small children need to ride with an adult who know what they are doing. If you don't want to leave town and it is snowing in the city you can always buy a cheap plastic sled at a local store and use a hill in a park.

Christmas markets are another good bet as they can have small rides for children. My family enjoyed the Haidhausen market at Weissenburger Platz and the medival market at Wittelsbacher Platz.

Yes the snow is not looking to good right now. If you are still interested in sledding your best bet will be to head to a ski area.

The Deutsches Museum has a really great Kid's Kingdom in the basement (http://www.deutsches-museum.de/en/exhibitions/kids-kingdom/). They are undergoing renovations now but it seems the Kids area is open. The museum is closed Dec 24,25,31 and Jan 1.

There is an ice skating rink in the central part of town. That would be fun for them.

Take them to the English Garden to watch the surfers on the Isar. Just returned from Munich this week. Not a speck of snow anywhere in Bavaria, so far!
