Hello, Planning a Christmas Market trip for Dec. 2023. Please, do busses run between Augsburg and Nordlingen and Dinkelsbuhl in December? I'm wondering if the 2 towns could be a day trip out of Augsburg? Any comments please?

1) Augsburg > Nördlingen is possible by train in around 1 hr. Plan on a change in the Romantic Road town of Donauwörth.
2) Nördlingen > Dinkelsbühl is served by bus. #868 takes less than 1 hour. Schedule:

You can also go to www. Rome2Rio.com to get an idea of distances between point A and point B and how long it will take by bus, train, car. I usually go here first when I'm planning my itinerary to get the overall picture. Then when I know what I'm doing, I will go to the various train websites to actually buy tickets.

Hello, Thank you both for your great advice! We have decided to focus our travel on another area, so Augsburg and the Romantic Road will need to wait. I appreciated the reminder about Rome to Rio!
