Christmas in Berlin w small child

Hi! We are going to Berlin for Christmas and have a four year old. Anyone know how to find out which markets may have rides for kids?

And, anyone have suggestions for museums that are more kid friendly? I did find a couple and will try the tech and the natural history museum. But not sure what else might be good in the cold.

Hi ilona,

Roten Rathaus, The Charlottenburg, and Potsdamer Platz are kids friendly Christmas markets in Berlin. Your 4 year old will also love Legoland at Potsdamer Platz. It has a huge indoor theme park. As far as museums, your little one can have the opportunity to enjoy the Labyrinth Children's Museum and Puppen theater-Museum Berlin.

When do you plan to arrive?

A lot of markets will close Dec. 23 finally.

Traditionally a Christmas market (also not in Berlin) has no rides for kids. The one at Rotes Rathaus becomes more and more a folk festival and will be open until Jan. 6 ("Russian Christmas").

Hi! I checked a site that has all the closings. Thanks for the reminder. And must surely check out the Russian one. Very cool.

Thanks again!!

Sorry, misunderstanding. Only the date (Jan. 7 & 8) is traditionally Russian-orthodox Christmas days - different calendar. Some of that church living in Germany are also celebrating Chistmas earlier - most for the kids :-)
