Hi all,
I am looking for recommendations for a hotel that's affordable but also quaint for my last night. Can be near the metro or train station. Just want some character my last night. Thanks in advance.

Check out places in Erding or Freising. You’ll have a better chance finding what you describe there rather in Munich plus both these towns have as good or better access to the airport.

If your 9:30 flight is going back to the US, you should probably be at the airport at 7:00, and even from Freising, the trip takes 20 minutes, so you'd have an awfully early breakfast. Maybe get to the airport a little earlier and grab breakfast there. I know there is a pastry shop on the ground floor of Terminal 2 (I got something to eat there one morning after arriving on USAir, where breakfast was abdominal).

Your departing flight at 9:30 am to the USA and staying downtown Munich will most likely NOT allow you to have breakfast at your hotel.

The reason I asked is I don't need to suggest my favourite hotel which I prefer because of its breakfast and car park. That would be too early for them.
You can still get Weißwurst and bretzel for breakfast at the airport though
