Changing Trains at Trier Station

Hello! My family is traveling tomorrow from Luxembourg to Berlin. We have 2 connections. One at Trier station and the second at Mannheim. We have only 9 minutes to make each connection. We plan on being ready to go with our luggage when the train stops. We are wondering how big each station is to make our connections on time. Are the platforms all on one floor or not? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have not changed trains in those 2 stations, but 9 minutes is plenty of time in almost all train stations to get to your next platform. Just keep moving along.

All connections involving a RE from Louxenbourg (dep. at minute 33) to Trier and another one to Mannheim appear to have a 1:09 (!) transfer time in Trier and an 11 min. transfer in Mannheim. So you should have ample time for a coffee break in the small station of Trier, and 11 min is way enough to catch your ICE in Mannheim.

Thank you for your replies. We made the trier station connection with a minute to spare and that with us sprinting between the two trains.
