Hello,
I plan on buying the Bavaria Castle pass since we are planning on seeing the schloss in Nuremburg, the Residenz (and possibly Nymphenburg), and Neuschwanstein. I am actually more excited about Hohenshwangau, but those are separate tickets and not part of the pass. But my question has to do with the actual tickets at Neuschwanstein.
It used to be that you had to pick up the tickets at the ticket center, but now you can supposedly just show them the tickets on your phone (or printed). I actually checked out the ticket sales online and saw how you can reserve tickets with the pass so that you only pay the 2.50 processing fee and, it appears, pick your tour. I was going to do the audio tour, not the English speaking, since the times fit our itinerary better.
In the book updates, Rick states that all free and reduced priced tickets must be picked up at the ticket center.
This is where my confusion starts. I am, I believe, reserving a ticket time and "purchasing" online with the Bavaria Castle pass. But is that considered a "reduced-priced ticket"? Do I need to stop at the ticket center, or is the one I get on my phone or print out good enough?
I appreciate any help you can give me to clear this up.
I am also adding the cable car and luge to the day based one the suggestions here, even though we are both definitely NOT fans of heights. You will not see us climbing to the top of the mountain. LOL
Thanks!
