Car rental/car hire in Germany

I’ll be renting an SUV for almost a month this fall.
I’ve previously used a car rental aggregator in Portugal and have been very happy with the prices and service.
I am currently checking autoeurope, sunnycars and kemwel, as Sixt doesn’t impress me price wise.
Does anyone have some good suggestions renting a car for 28-30 days in Germany? Top up insurance and CC deposit is advised. Is it reasonable to look for anything less than 1400€ for a month?

You might look into leasing - AI explains it better than I could:

If you are a non-EU resident visiting Germany for 21 to 175 days, the most cost-effective short-term lease is the Tax-Free Tourist Lease Program (also known as Temporary Transit). You get a brand-new vehicle, zero-deductible full insurance, and unlimited mileage without paying European Value Added Tax (VAT). Leading Programs & Partners: Car-2-Europe (Peugeot & DS Automobiles): The most popular programs, offering factory-new vehicles with easy pickups at German airports (like Munich and Frankfurt). Book through brokers like Auto Europe or Kemwel. Renault Eurodrive: Another highly trusted temporary transit program for non-EU residents.
