Hello!
I am planning to go from Munich to visit Dachau in the morning and then come back to Munich (to retrieve my bags from train station luggage storage lockers) and then go to Füssen in the late afternoon. I am spending the next 2 days in Füssen.
My question - can I buy a Bayern ticket and use it for the whole day? I am a bit worried since I first go north for Dachau & then south for Füssen. Is this allowed or will I have to buy separate tickets for each leg of the journey?

As long as you begin travel after 9 am week days (weekends and holidays anytime), you can travel as much as you want, in any direction, on local trains, U-bahns, buses in Bavaria until 3 am the next day. So go for it.

The Dachau Memorial opens at 9:00. If you take RB 59174 at 9:24 from track 17 of the main shed of the Hauptbahnhof to Dachau Bahnhof (at 9:35) and the next bus (at 9:41) from there, you can be at Dachau by 9:48, in plenty of time for the first English tour at 11:00. If you want to get there earlier, you can't use the Bayern-Ticket, but you can purchase a Single Trip Ticket for 2 zones for an extra 5,40€.
